Regulations banning the display of tobacco products have had a huge impact on how the point of purchase looks in a retail environment. VDMS innovated a modern solution consisting of electronic, remotely configurable vending machines that can stand alone or be integrated with a point-of-sale system.
OSC was asked to create and build a brand presence in the UK, Canadian and Australian retail marketplaces, and position VDMS as the premiere solution.
We worked in partnership with the VDMS marketing and sales teams to conceptualise a unique strategic approach that would bring the brand to life for different audiences on different continents.
Our brand launch consisted of a compelling and informative 90-second video, plus a bespoke website.
The video highlighted the challenges of selling tobacco, how reduced shrinkage drives revenues, and how storeowners can clearly benefit from real-time sales information.
The website design and UX deliberately had a retail approach, supported by a simple but effective call to action. The result was an effective user-friendly experience with a forward-thinking and responsive design.
VDMS units are now active throughout the UK, US, Canada and Australia.
